Established in 1962, Wira Gulfindo Sarana was initially engaged in steel fabrication, especially the manufacture and installation of Pertamina fuel tanks. Over time, in 1984 the company developed its products into the field of vehicle bodywork specifically for the construction sector, consisting of concrete mixers, bulk tank trucks and concrete batching plants.

In 1992 PT. Wira Gulfindo Sarana was appointed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to build and manage the Intermediate Transit Station in Cakung Cilincing. This collaboration agreement makes PT. Wira Gulfindo Sarana is the first private company in the field of waste processing in Indonesia. The Environmental Division continues to develop with other activities including being the sole agent for SULO trash bins for Indonesia.
